For our show on January 29th, 2011, I asked for your favourite Pet Shop Boys track of the 1990s.
The winner proved to be the Pet Shop Boys highest charting hit single of the 1990s. "Go West" was originally released by the Village People, who took it to number 15 in the charts in 1979. The Pet Shop Boys' version peaked at number two in the UK singles chart in September 1993, and was kept off the number one spot by Culture Beat with "Mr Vain", and the following week by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince with "Boom! Shake The Room". To watch the promo video to this track, press the play button
